Dr. Marcus Erken is one of the founding partners of Sunfish Partners. He is with the fund full-time and serves as one of its managing directors.

Marcus has been in love with early stage startups for many years: he has made angel investments throughout the world, including Ramp Network, Locad, Minutia, and Reebelo. He also co-lectures an annual university course in which students start their own companies. Previously, Marcus had the privilege to work with more than 120 student startups at WHU’s university incubator, which he co-built.

Marcus holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Business & Management from WHU Vallendar, a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from RWTH Aachen University, and was a Visiting Research Fellow at Harvard University.
